Frequently Asked Questions

Do you ship your cakes?
Unfortunately we do not ship our cakes or cupcakes. However, we do ship our delicious cookies and TrufflePops® 

How much do you charge for your cakes, I have a budget?
We offer many different cake pricing options that are available to view on our Cake Info page.
However, it is important to let us know upfront if you have a budget for your cake that you would like to adhere to so that we can come up with a design to liking without going over your budget.

Can you email me pricing information if I send you a picture of something I like?
No, however we can do your initial consultation over the phone. There is no set price list for our cakes because they are custom made. Final price depends on several factors including size, complexity of design, and premium options such as cakes covered in fondant and additional flavor options, delivery charges, etc. Therefore, we will not quote prices by email.

Do you deliver cupcakes and cookies?
YES! We offer local delivery service of our fresh made cupcakes and cookies to your home or office during our regular business hours. (see below for hours of operation). Minimum order is 2 dozen for either cupcakes or cookies. We require 48 hour notice for all orders. Contact us at (973) 544-8689 with any inquiries or to place your order.

Where do you deliver to?
At this time we are only available to deliver to NJ and NY.

Do you deliver on Holidays and weekends?
No we are closed on Holidays. However we do deliver on Saturdays and Sundays.

Is there a charge for delivery?
Yes, delivery charges will be applied as well as a setup charge if your cake/cupcakes require assembly once delivered to your venue.

Can I pick up my cake?
Unfortunately we do not allow multi tiered cakes or specialty themed/carved cakes to be picked up due to their construction and additional assembly that may be required after delivery. We want to ensure that your cake arrives safely delivered by a member of our staff who have experience in delivering cakes without incurring any damage. You can however pick up cupcake and cookie orders or single tiered cakes and cake topper cakes.

Do you have gift certificates available?
Yes we do offer Gift Certificates that can be used towards the purchase of any of our baked goods.

Do you do company logos on cookies or cakes?
Yes we do. We can recreate any company logo in edible form that can be placed on cookies(as seen here) as well as on cakes. 

Do you require a deposit?
Yes we do require a deposit. Requesting a date for your event does not hold that date. Bookings are a first come, first serve request. To book a date, a signed cake contract and a
NON refundable 50% deposit is required for all custom cakes including wedding cakes and the balance due 2 weeks before your event. Deposits and balances can be paid securely by credit card through PayPal or credit card by phone. We do not accept checks.

How much notice is needed to place my order?
Due to fact that all of our baked goods are made fresh to order, we require advance notice as follows:
- 2 to 3 weeks: for Cookies, Cupcakes, Cake Toppers, and TrufflePops®
- 3 to 4 weeks: for Specialty Cakes, Dessert Tables/Candy Stations
- 4 to 6 weeks: for Wedding Cakes

Any orders that are taken with less than 2 weeks notice will subjected to an additional fee due to short notice. We will try to accommodate your request as best as possible. Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that the date you are requesting for your event will be available and the full balance will be due on the day the order is placed.

Do you cater to special dietary needs?
Yes, at this time we offer Gluten Free and Vegan Flavors in Chocolate, Red Velvet or Vanilla.
Please note: Even though we offer special dietary options, we do use dairy, nuts and fresh fruits in our facility, therefore our products will not be a suitable option for those with dairy, nut or fruit allergies.

I don't see a cake flavor that I like, would I be able to make it?
We will try our best to accommodate your flavor requests if you wish to have a flavor of cake or filling that is not listed. Please inquire with us.

How do you cut the cake the proper way so I have enough servings?
This is a really good question because specialty cakes should not be cut like you would normally cut a cake in slices brought home from the bakery. Generally the standard size serving for large parties or weddings is: 1"Wx2"Lx4"H. Anything much larger than that will not yield the correct amount of servings the cake is designed to serve.

Do you offer tastings?
Yes we do. However, due to our busy schedule, appointment only cake consultations are reserved for cakes serving 150 guests or more, and are $40 per tasting. Payment will be required prior to your appointment.This fee will be refunded only if a cake is ordered within
one (1) week of the tasting. Appointments are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only
during our hours of operation.The consultation will allow for 2 guests for the tasting and your choice of 3 cake flavors and 3 filling options.

What are your hours of operation and where are you located?
Our cake studio which is not open to the public is located in South Orange, NJ and all of our baking is done out of a licensed rental commercial kitchen in South Orange, NJ.
