Bittersweet Cake Design,LLC is owned and founded by Lisa Jackson, Pastry Chef and graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC.
She began her culinary education
during a very difficult time because her father was ill, and ultimately
passed away from Alzheimer's Disease before he had a chance to attend her
graduation but she completed her studies and graduated with Highest
Honors (thus the name, Bittersweet). Her Father was the inspiration that gave her the courage to go to culinary school and ultimately change careers after more than 20 years in the corporate world of finance. What was once a hobby of making fancy desserts became a passion. Even
though it is a bittersweet journey she is doing what she desires to do
most; something that not only gives her great joy through hard work,
passion and dedication but brings joy to others through her cake designs
and freshly made desserts.
Along with Chef Lisa, her professionally trained and talented Pastry Chefs, Bakers, and Cake Artists have many years of experience in their field of expertise. We use only the freshest, finest ingredients in all of our desserts like farm fresh eggs, European sweet butter, Madagascar bourbon vanilla, Valrhona and Callebaut finest gourmet chocolates, and organic fresh fruits to create the most decadent desserts from scratch with no artificial preservatives added.
From start to finish, our staff will walk you through the Bittersweet experience by discussing your custom design and style requirements, explaining flavors and colors, and helping you feel at ease during the cake design process, while we create works of art behind the scenes.
